A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Tegan. I hate sitting still for more than a minute, I love learning new things, strawberries and spinach are my favourite foods (weird I know.. dark chocolate is high up there too though- I eat some form of chocolate every day), I love a good ol' flavoured gin, fitness is my passion and helping others reach their goals and feel better about themselves makes my heart smile- like big time.

Getting in shape is not meant to be a torturous endeavour. There may be a sore muscle or two along the way (that's all part of the fun), but I believe getting fit should be enjoyed, not dreaded. You shouldn't have to give up everything you enjoy in the name of 'fitness', life is about balance and creating a healthy lifestyle that you can still enjoy. I get to change lives for a living, which is not only a privilege but incredibly fulfilling and rewarding.

I've always had a background of being active in my life, I started dance classes when I was 2 and stayed dancing until I was around 17. At school I loved playing netball, doing gymnastics and went on to get my Dance GCSE. A few years down the line I got into pole fitness which I absolutely LOVED- it was SO much fun and is such a challenge to your body, I also did a lot of circuit training but then around 6 years ago I found my true passion in the gym, lifting weights. I played around with it for about 2 years and then started taking it more seriously, building my knowledge and was always keen to learn more and progress. I started noticing changes to my body, I saw my muscles grow, my body leaned out, I grew stronger and I knew from there I had found what I was meant to be doing, I had found my happy place.

In 2018 I fell pregnant and continued focusing on my fitness through my pregnancy- I believe it really helped with my energy levels through pregnancy and then with my labour and recovery. After giving birth to my beautiful little girl I felt that there was not much information out there about returning to exercise safely which is why I was adamant that I was going to take a course in antenatal and postnatal fitness so that I could then help other women.
