A balanced diet

Updated: Aug 8, 2020

You’ve probably heard time and time again people saying about how important it is to be eating a good diet when trying to change your body. I often hear 80/20 thrown about but no matter how hard you think about it, it all comes down to the fact that your diet is key.

If you are putting all your effort and work into your gym workouts but are coming home and eating crap food constantly you are not going to see results.

Abs are made in the kitchen‘ -they seriously are.

Your diet needs to be on point all of the time to ensure your body is getting the nutrients that it needs to perform to its best ability. Now that doesn’t mean you can never eat pizza or a bar of chocolate ever again, it just means that you need to find a balance that works well for you.

If your body is your priority you need to full heartedly put your all into it.. inside and outside of the gym.

Allow yourself a ‘cheat day’ once or twice a week to curb cravings but the rest of the week try to leave those things alone, or build them into your macros if tracking them.

Everyone has different thoughts and I’m not bashing anyone else but personally in my view if you are putting clean, healthy, nutrient rich foods into your body you are going to get good results. You are going to have more energy which will enable you to push further in the gym. You are going to feel better in yourself. Your skin is going to look better and you will feel healthier.

That being said, a healthy diet is something that you have to stick to. You can’t ‘eat well’ for a week and expect to see results. You have to stay consistent.. consistent with your diet and consistent with your training.. and trust me in time you will thank yourself for it.
