Fit & Healthy For You & Your Baby

Remaining active throughout your pregnancy will improve your mood, improve sleep, help you to maintain a healthy body weight, reduce the risk of swelling & improve your mental health as well as decreasing the risk of developing some pregnancy related complications such as pre-eclampsia, gestational diabetes and pregnancy induced hypertension. You will be better prepared for labour and many women find that they also have a much shorter & easier labour when they have remained active whilst pregnant. Getting back on track post-pregnancy will also be much easier. 

After you have had your baby it is SO important to return to exercise in a safe manner. You shouldn't dive back in how you left off. Your body has changed a lot in the last 9 months, your insides have literally rearranged themselves and you have become a superwoman by giving birth. Diastasis Recti (separation of the abdominal muscles), leakage & prolapse are all extremely common after pregnancy. So we need to respect our bodies, take it slowly and ease ourselves back in, especially as relaxin levels remain high in our systems. Exercises will need to be adapted for a while whilst we slowly build back our muscle and strength and we need to do this in a safe way. 

Having been here myself, I understand the do's and don'ts. I've been there first hand trying to do more than I should be doing too soon so I took a step back and stripped back to the basics & that's when I noticed results. So with me as your Personal Trainer or Online Coach I will help you feel like yourself in your body again and I will be there giving you all the moral support that you need- I know how much it is needed!
